Welcome |
Our mission is to enhance the safety of the public who reside, work, or recreate in the remote areas of Multnomah County by forming partnerships with volunteer organizations dedicated to the prevention of, and prompt response to emergencies involving lost or injured persons, or created by natural disasters.

BE A PART OF THE ACTION |
Training We conduct weekly training lectures and monthly weekend training outings to teach, learn, and practice a multitude of skills. Through this, we build confidence, self-esteem, leadership skills, and develop tight interpersonal relationships. |
Service Search and Rescue operations can and do involve finding lost members of the public. However, we also conduct evidence searches, assist with SWAT and OLCC missions, and serve in the recovery efforts following natural disasters. |
Mobilization We are all community volunteers. We are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When the going gets tough, the tough call in the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team! |
